Bio:
Ester Benbanaste was born in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1963. She received her early education at a French college, where she developed a strong cultural and artistic foundation, and later continued her stylistic and art studies, deepening her understanding of visual expression.
Working primarily in oil in an expressionist style, Benbanaste established a respected career in Turkey. Her early work explored nude female figures and floral compositions, emphasizing emotional depth and personal narrative. She held eight solo exhibitions and participated in more than thirty group exhibitions, earning recognition within the contemporary art community.
After relocating to the United States a decade ago, her practice expanded to include mixed media and resin art. Her contemporary works have been exhibited at galleries including Blackhawk Gallery and JOR Fine Art Gallery, where her resin pieces have reached a broader international audience.
In addition to her fine art practice, Benbanaste creates wearable resin works incorporating natural stones, often inspired by the evil eye motif—symbolizing protection, spirituality, and balance.
She lives and works in the United States, continuing to explore the intersection of expressionist painting, contemporary resin, and wearable art.
